FROM DANIEL’S BRAIN…
Everybody is talking about Georgia's safety room this offseason, and honestly, I get it.
There are real questions. Who's going to lock down the second safety spot? How quickly will the transfers get up to speed? Will the young guys be ready when the lights come on?
Those are important questions.
But in the middle of all that uncertainty, I think we're overlooking the most important fact of all.
Georgia has KJ Bolden.
Sometimes we get so caught up worrying about the pieces around a superstar that we forget just how good the superstar actually is.
I truly believe KJ Bolden is the best safety in the SEC. And before it's all said and done, I think there's a legitimate chance we're talking about him as one of the best safeties to ever wear the red and black.
That's saying something when you think about the players that have come through Athens.
What makes Bolden special isn't just the athleticism. Everybody knows he can run, hit, and cover. It's the way he changes the entire defense. He's the kind of player that allows Glenn Schumann to be creative. You can play him deep, bring him into the box, match him up in coverage, or send him after the quarterback. There just aren't many players in college football who can do all of those things at a high level.
And here's why that's so important this season.
If Georgia is breaking in new faces at safety, having KJ Bolden on the field is the ultimate security blanket. His versatility and football IQ can erase mistakes, help younger players get lined up, and give the coaching staff the flexibility to disguise coverages and pressure packages.
The conversations this fall are going to center on who wins the other safety job.
Mine won't.
Because as long as No. 4 is patrolling the secondary, I like Georgia's chances.
Sometimes the best way to answer uncertainty is with a superstar.
Georgia has one.

FROM CLINT’S BRAIN…
Bo Walker Could Be Georgia’s Most Important Offensive Player
Georgia’s offense has plenty of talent, but Bo Walker might end up being the guy who matters most when the games get tight. He’s not the flashiest name in the room, but that’s kind of the point. Walker has the build, the toughness, and the style to do the dirty work that keeps an offense moving.
At 5-foot-9 and 210 pounds, he looks like the kind of back Georgia can lean on when it wants to stay on schedule and wear teams down. And that matters, because not every important player is the one making the biggest highlight play. Sometimes it’s the guy who gets you four yards on first down, punches in the short score, and keeps the quarterback out of obvious passing situations.
That’s why Walker feels so important this year. If he becomes a steady part of the run game, it changes everything else around him. The play-action game opens up, the defense has to respect the run, and Georgia can control tempo the way it likes to.
So while there will be bigger stars and louder headlines, Walker has a real chance to be one of the most important pieces on the offense. And in a season like this, that might matter more than anything else.
